Pakistan belongs to one of the richest regions in terms of cultural and religious diversity with a variety of festivals that connects the masses with history and sociocultural traditions. In view of the wider public engagement in these festivals and the power of culture in subtly bringing normative change, Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) decided to organize a Peace Festival in September around International Peace Day. Each year, this festival provides an avenue for Pakistani Public to express their desire and support for peace through multiple mediums such as theatre performance, art and craft, poetry, music and much more.
